The relentless march of FC Sorrento continued on Sunday with the club’s third consecutive win in the league, beating San Antonio Abate 4-0.
The first goal came within eight minutes from Gargiulo when the ground was still half deserted.  This was due to access to the ground being blocked by an air ambulance.  The helicopter had landed in the middle of the pitch to move a patient from Sorrento to Naples.
The second goal was a pearler from Vitale, in the 26th minute, latching on to a cross with a right-foot half-volley past the almost motionless De Martino in the San Antonio goal.
Scarpa scored Sorrento’s third in the 55th minute, and the game was finally killed off when Fragiello (who had replaced Gargiulo), headed home within the 6 yard box in the 81st minute to make it Sorrento 4 San Antonio Abate 0.
At the final whistle, applause and chants of “Proud and proud of you” came from the 400 strong crowd.
